Description

  • LiveWIRE Nigeria is a youth enterprise development program supported by SPDC JV.
  • LiveWIRE’s objective is to improve opportunities for youth to realize their potential through creating and developing their own businesses. Such businesses will result in a more prosperous economy and community. with young people becoming more fulfilled
  • The program aims to inspire, encourage and support young people aged 18 – 35 to start their own businesses.

The purpose of the LiveWIRE program is to

  • Helps youth build businesses by exposing them to approaches and skills in business planning and management through ‘Successful Business Ownership Course’
  • Providing start-up grants to applicants with the best business plans.
  • Connect successful applicants with third parties such as financial institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
  • Provide a volunteer mentoring program for successful applicants.

You can apply from:

  • Must have a university degree or HND in any subject.
  • Must pass NYSC if in compulsory bracket.
  • Male and female applicants from Assa North PTF and Access communities: Akabta, Egita, Ohiauga, Ikiri, Obite, Egbeda.
  • Must not be in paid employment
  • Must have an innovative business idea.
  • Must desire to own and manage a business
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Must reside in the state of origin.
  • Must not have been in business for more than three (3) years.
  • Applicants must not have previously benefited from Shell’s community skills programs and social investments in corporate development such as LiveWIRE Community Skills Training. Agricultural program
  • Relevance of the business plan to SPDC’s identified value chain sectors/areas, including:
    • agriculture
    • clean energy solutions /oil and gas
    • social enterprise
    • production
    • Retail and wholesale
    • ICT and telecommunications
