The University of Saskatchewan is now inviting applications for postgraduate opportunities in the Department of Nutrition (Cochrane Laboratory).

The aim of the project is to study the impact of HIV-AIDS-infected mothers on breastfed children. The organization seeks alternatives to breast milk so that babies can enjoy the benefits of breast milk without the risk. Transmission of HIV

In this study, the Laboratory invites HIV-infected pregnant women and caregivers of HIV-infected children to participate in focus groups or semi-structured personal interviews. To find out how they feel about breastfeeding their babies.

  • Knowledge about nutrition of children with HIV/AIDS Breast milk donation and experience
    Work with local communities
  • Qualitative research experience, including experience conducting private focus groups.
    Interviews and thematic analysis are assets. (but not required)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to schedule.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
