National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has released the final list of successful applicants for the 2023 Narcotics Control Officer and Addiction Assistant recruitment exercise.

Successful applicants under the list will be required to report basic training. (Cadet) Narcotics Control Officer at NDLEA Academy, Kotton Rikus, Jos Plateau State while Narcotics Agent/Assistant (Trainee) will report for training at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Agency. Corps (NSCDC) Peace and Disaster Management College, Km 4, Babbar-Ruga Batsari Road, Katsina State.

All successful applicants will be required to report for training at their respective designated centers according to their grouping and on the dates assigned to their group.

Grouping of applicants and reporting date for training

Successful applicants whose names are listed are published on the agency’s website at www.ndlea.gov.ng You should report for training in the group order listed below:

1.) Chief of Staff (Narcotics Enforcement Officer) reporting to NDLEA Academy Kotton Rikus Jos Plateau State.

  • Group 1. Serial numbers 1 – 400 (Thursday, July 27, 2023)
  • Group 2. Serial numbers 401 – 800 (Friday, July 28, 2023)
  • Group 3, serial number 801 – 1,200 (Saturday, July 29, 2023)
  • Group 4, serial numbers 1,201 – 1,600 (Monday, July 31, 2023)
  • Group 5. Serial number 1,601 – 2,000 (Tuesday, August 1, 2023)
  • Group 6, serial number 2,001 – 2,428 (Wednesday, August 2, 2023)

2.) Narcotics Assistants (NA & NASS) reporting to NSCDC Peace and Disaster Management College – Km 4 Babbar-Ruga Batsari Road, Katsina.

  • Group 1 Serial Number 1 – 400 (Saturday 12 August 2023)
  • Group 2, serial numbers 401 – 800 (Monday, August 14, 2023)
  • Group 3, serial number 801 – 1,200 (Tuesday, August 15, 2023)
  • Group 4, serial number 1,201 – 1,600 (Wednesday, August 16, 2023)
  • Group 5, No. 1,601 – 2,000 (Thursday, August 17, 2023)
  • Group 6, serial numbers 2,001 – 2,415 (Friday, August 18, 2023)

Advice for all applicants

All selected applicants (Narcotics suppression officers and assistants) must report for training. The details are as follows:

  • Original and photocopy of affidavit to include National Identification Number (NIN) and printed NDLEA online application reference.
  • Four recent colored passport photographs without hood/cap.
  • Writing documents include bios, pencils, rulers, notebooks, and file jackets.
  • white round neck shirt Three pairs (unmarked) and navy blue shorts (no stripes).
  • Two pairs of white and black socks
  • 2 pairs of plain black sneakers (rubber ones not accepted)
  • Two white sheets and pillowcases
  • Two black pants and a white long-sleeved shirt.
  • one blanket (gray or army green)
  • National costume or two pairs of suits and casual clothes with shoes.
  • Buckets, daggers and brooms must be purchased upon arrival.
  • Pocket money and some toiletries
  • Mosquito nets.

  • Successful applicants who do not report by 6:00 PM on Wednesday 2 August 2023 for the Director of Staff (Support) and Friday 18 August 2023 for the Addiction Assistant (NA and NASS). will be disqualified
  • Female applicants who are pregnant will not be allowed to participate in the training.
  • Applicants should be aware that the drug fertility test and pregnancy test (for women) is performed at different times. During training, therefore, applicants who test positive will be immediately withdrawn from training.
