Depending on your age, driving record, and other factors, American Family may be cheaper than one or more of these companies. Our study found that Allstate was the most expensive on average, with an annual sample rate of $2,135.

How Much Does American Family Car Insurance Cost?

US family car insurance costs an average of $1,547 per year for full coverage insurance. That’s less than $600 a year from the average national annual rate of $2,148.

American Family’s average annual rate is cheaper than other major insurers except State Farm and USAA, which only sell policies to active-duty and veteran military members and their families.
